Guidelines for Sheds and Detached structures within Surrey Park

Homeowners and residents are required to provide plans to the CASP Deed Restriction Committee for approval before the commencement of purchasing or building any shed or structure as prior approval is needed. Email the committee for guidance and approval:

These guidelines have been approved by the Board of Directors of the Civic Association of Surrey Park so that homeowners and residents are aware of the expectations so they can comply with Surrey Park’s deed restrictions. Prior violations do not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce deed restrictions.

  1. A maximum of 200 square feet with a maximum of 14 feet on any one side.

  2. Maximum height of structure of no more than ten (10) feet from ground level.

  3. Appropriate materials and colors to blend into surroundings (no metal or plastic sheds-white is discouraged)

  4. Sheds and structures may not be used for human habitation.

  5. No more than one shed/structure per property.

  6. No sheds or structures may be permitted in front of the principal structure or within any side yard setback or any buffer yard.

  7. Sheds and structures may be located in the rear yard provided it is placed at least three (3) feet from the side lot line and the rear lot line and is not located in the street yard setback.

  8. No detached garages or car ports.
