Overview

Surrey Park is an unincorporated, deed-restricted community of 221 homes located in the Brandywine Hundred area of northern New Castle County, Delaware.

Development began in 1964 on a heavily wooded 100-acre site situated between Silverside and Shipley roads. The developer intent was to preserve as many trees as possible, resulting in a leafy, shaded neighborhood of gently winding roads. Surrey Park was one of the first housing developments to put all utility lines underground, so as not to detract from the natural beauty.

The homes were primarily custom-built by the original owners and the developer, resulting in a harmonious mixture of architectural styles.

The quiet, wooded setting belies the fact that we are located minutes from shopping, dining, and all the other amenities of the Talleyville area. We are within walking distance from Brandywine High School, Springer Middle School, Bonsall Park, Talley Day Park, and the Brandywine Hundred Library. Hiking in Brandywine Creek State Park is a quick drive away. Close but not too close proximity to Rt. 202 and I-95 allow easy access to Wilmington, Philadelphia, and beyond.
